On 7 December, the Transport Knowledge Hub hosted an event in Bristol. Chaired by Gerard Whelan of Corporate Finance, Government and Infrastructure at KMPG, the national forum heard some of the early findings of new research undertaken by KPMG on sustainable transport and housing and highlighted the role that sound sustainable transport investment can play in unlocking the benefits of new housing. The event included a keynote speech by the Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees. Panellists included Sir Peter Hendy (Chair of Network Rail), James Freeman, (Managing Director, First West of England), Paul Crawford (Chief Executive, LiveWest and Chair of Homes for the South West) and Jenny Raggett (Project lead, Transport for New Homes).
